Infant-Toddler

Infant-Toddler Program includes:

• I work with each child’s parents to set a personal schedule and ensure consistency in routines.

• Each infant has his/her own individual crib providing comfort and familiarity while helping to prevent the spread of illnesses.

• All meals and snacks are included.

• Diapers and wipes are included.

• Age-appropriate equipment allows your child to develop gross motor skills in a safe environment.

• Crock pot bottle-warming provides even heating and prevents microwave hot spots.

• Changing tables are sanitary, clutter free.

• I sing songs, read stories, and talk to your baby to encourage language acquisition.

• Loving arms and kind voices are always available to make your baby feel safe and secure.

 • Hands-on learning environments keep fingers busy and minds happily engaged allowing the toddler age child to satisfy their curiosity and make safe choices independently as they play.

• Our toys and equipment give children an opportunity for safe climbing and imaginative play.  A large variety of toys and games support speech, art, music, movement, dramatic play, and cognitive skill development.

Infant Program (Six weeks to 12 months)

  • Fine Motor Skills: Infants’ fine motor skills, which include finger and hand movements, need to be stimulated in many different ways in order for them to improve. I offer a wide variety of fine motor skill activities for your infant, from simply shaking a rattle, to scooping up finger foods, to raking his hands through a container of cornmeal.
  • Gross Motor Skills: Tummy Time is a most! I address all of your infant’s gross motor skills, which include reaching for objects, kicking, sitting, and walking. Infants are encouraged to lie on their stomachs and look at and reach for books and toys to increase their core muscle strength. Infants may even participate in an obstacle course to motivate them to crawl or walk.
